Do I need an account to try it?
No. Install it and the first 50 captures work with no account at all — nothing to fill in, nothing to cancel. An account removes that limit and costs nothing.
What does the free plan actually cost me?
A watermark on exported video, and exports capped at 1440p rather than the full size you recorded. Screenshots, recording, editing and the studio itself are not held back — the free plan is the product, not a demo of it.
What counts as a device?
A browser. The extension names the browser it is installed in, and that name holds the seat. Release it from your account page and the next browser can take it, so a new laptop is not a new purchase.
Is it really one payment?
Yes. Solo, Team and Enterprise are bought outright — there is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel.
Where do my recordings go?
Nowhere. Captures, recordings and edits stay in your browser’s own storage on your machine. The account exists to say what your licence allows, and that is the only thing that crosses the network.
Who takes the payment?
Paddle, as merchant of record. Card details never reach us, and your receipt and invoice come from them.
