Backdrop
Backdrop
- Fill
- 20 curated gradients and 7 solid colours, or a gradient or colour of your own with an angle you set.
- Open a capture in the editor. Backdrop is the first group on the rail down the right, and it is open the first time.
- Under Fill, choose Gradients, Colours, Custom gradient or Custom colour.
- Click a swatch — each one is painted from the same colours the export uses, so the square you pick is the backdrop you get.
- For Custom gradient, set From and To, then drag Angle or type the degrees into the box beside it.
- Texture
- None, a dot grid or a line grid over the backdrop, and film grain from 0 to 40%.
- Under Texture, pick None, Dots or Grid. Grid gives a drawn, architectural surface; Dots is quieter.
- Drag Grain up until the banding in a gradient disappears — around 8–15% is usually enough; past 25% the grain becomes the subject.
- Leave the texture off when the screenshot is busy: a pattern behind a dense UI reads as noise.
- Light
- A cast light across the backdrop: Leaf shadow, Sunset or Window.
- Under Light, pick Leaf shadow, Sunset or Window — it falls on the backdrop, not on your screenshot.
- None takes it away again.
